First step: Jewel Crafting

First thing is to prepare the augmentation, you have a choice between 9 GemStones (effect) or 12 FlowStones (stats or resist). A failure will result in the loss of the augmentation (assuming no salvage skills).

After having prepared the augmentation in the first step and some components in the second step, you can now add a Minor effect to it. A failure will result in the loss of the augmentation and the acid (assuming no salvage skills).

Fourth step: BlackSmithing

Fifth step: Alchemy or Poison Making

Now it is time to complete the augmentation by going from the Minor effect to a Regular (+1) or Pure (+2) effect. A failure will result in the loss of the Gold Inlay (assuming no salvage skills) but the augmentation is returned.
